Bobby Jindal is governor of Louisiana here in the United States. Yesterday, he declared a state of emergency in Louisiana because of tropical storm Gustav. At some point today Gustav will slam into Jamaica!! Yes, you read that right……..Jamaica. What’s he going to declare when the storm actually gets to Louisiana?

There are some pretty good reasons for the governor of Louisiana to wake up and declare an emergency every day. Tropical storm Gustav has nothing to do with that!! That’s another story though, or bunch of stories or a bunch of books let’s say.

I know the guy thinks he’s being prudent but it’s just absurd to declare a state of emergency in your state when the storm is thousands of miles away and no cinch to slam into the state.
